Berkshire Medical Center (BMC) welcomes 3rd and 4th year medical students from UMASS Chan, the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, and Boston University’s Chobanian & Avedisian Medical School. As a core clinical campus for UNE COM, BMC provides a year‑long, immersive training experience across the hospital and BHS ambulatory clinics.
The Berkshire Medical Center School of Medical Laboratory Science offers an 11‑month, NAACLS‑accredited program that prepares six full‑time students each year for careers in clinical laboratory science. Our mission is to deliver high‑quality, affordable education that equips graduates with the knowledge, technical skills, and professionalism needed to thrive in today’s evolving healthcare environment

Berkshire Medical Center (BMC), as a teaching hospital, has provided Residents and Fellows exceptional training that combines clinical excellence, research, and professional development for more than fifty years.
The General Surgery Residency Program at Berkshire Medical Center provides an excellent learning environment for those seeking a career in general surgery and those interested in further sub-specialty training.
The Internal Medicine Residency provides exceptional clinical education to produce highly qualified future primary care, hospitalist, and subspecialist physicians.
The Psychiatry Residency offers a robust four‑year curriculum that exceeds psychiatry certification requirements, combining twice‑weekly didactic seminars with training in mindfulness, resilience, interviewing, patient‑physician relationships, and spirituality. This comprehensive approach helps residents grow into grounded clinicians and leaders prepared for today’s public health challenges.
The ONMM3 Residency provides extensive clinical experience integrating OMM into primary care, specialty clinics, and a busy hospital consultation service, supported by core rotations in Neurology, Rheumatology, Pain Management, and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, with diverse elective options. The program also emphasizes osteopathic research and continuous professional growth to prepare residents for advanced osteopathic practice.

Our Nursing Transition to Practice program supports new nurses as they move from education into professional clinical roles by offering structured mentorship, skills development, ongoing education, and guided integration into safe, confident, independent practice.

The Berkshire Health Systems Primary Care APP Residency is a highly selective, paid, post-graduate training program designed to support newly graduated Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants as they navigate the transition to independent practice.
