Laboratory Patient Services, integral to routine healthcare provided by your Primary Care Practitioner, offers a spectrum of diagnostic solutions. From routine blood and urine screenings to specialized services like flow cytometry, molecular biology, anatomic pathology, cytology, and more, we ensure precise and comprehensive diagnostics. Our dedicated services encompass blood donation/Blood Bank, microbiology, clinical chemistry, toxicology, and hematology. Laboratory Patient Services
Berkshire Health Systems is host to a comprehensive and modern community laboratory system. Equipped with the latest in automated analytical instrumentation, the lab offers a wide variety of laboratory tests to meet our patients’ needs. Our fully certified and trained technical staff are available to provide assistance and answer any questions regarding all our test procedures.
Your provider typically orders lab tests for you during a physical, checkup or screening for a specific condition, including heart disease, thyroid disease, cancer, diabetes and sexually transmitted infections. If you are interested in having a specific laboratory test performed, please ask your healthcare provider if the lab test is appropriate for you, and if he/she can order the lab test(s) for you.
Blood Donor Services

One of the easiest ways to help your community is as simple as lending your arm. The BMC Blood Donor Center, which operates the Bloodmobile, and the American Red Cross are committed to increasing the supply of blood in the area, keeping donated blood in the Berkshires for use in local patients and aiding in efforts to decrease the cost of blood.
