At Berkshire Medical Center and Fairview Hospital, our vascular surgeons focus on the medical and surgical treatment of the body's circulatory system. This includes the arteries and veins that carry blood to and from the heart. Our goal is to provide the least invasive procedures required to achieve the best possible patient outcomes. Our board certified vascular care surgeons are accepting new patients and are on call around the clock to handle all aspects of vascular illness for residents of the Berkshires and surrounding areas of Southern Vermont, Eastern New York state and Northern Connecticut.
Our highly skilled vascular surgeons specialize in the diagnosis, treatment and management of all diseases, conditions and trauma to arteries and veins. This includes numerous complex conditions such as atherosclerosis, abdominal aneurysms, and venous disease. In addition, the vascular surgeons at Berkshire Medical Center and Fairview Hospital provide access and care for dialysis patients who are receiving treatment at the Berkshire Health Systems dialysis centers in Pittsfield (at Berkshire Medical Center) and in Great Barrington (at Fairview Hospital). Also, our specialists will frequently consult with physicians treating patients for chronic wound issues through the BMC or Fairview Centers for Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine.
In the process, our outstanding vascular surgeons frequently provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, collaborating with many other specialists - including diagnostic and interventional radiologists and others - to provide the most innovative and advanced treatment. Our surgeons are patient-and-family focused, offering the highest level of skilled care in a compassionate setting.
