About Sohael Gilani, APRN;MSN;PMHNP-BC;

I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a medical background that includes residential psychiatry, inpatient behavioral health, emergency medicine, detox services, medical-surgical care, and hospital leadership. I have also served for several years as a nurse in the U.S. Army Reserves, and I continue that service today, which has broadened my experience and perspective as a clinician. Working across these different settings has helped me develop a person-centered and individualized approach to care. I try to understand each person’s experiences, challenges, and strengths and use that understanding to guide their treatment.

I grew up in the Berkshires, and many of my family members and friends also work in the healthcare field. Being surrounded by people who are dedicated to helping others has greatly influenced my values and strengthened my commitment to this community. Practicing here is meaningful to me because I want to support the health and well-being of a region that has been an important part of my life, both personally and professionally.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, going to concerts, and hanging out with my pets, family, and friends.
