About Peter Foster, MD

Dr. Foster completed his vascular surgery training at the internationally renowned Ochsner Clinic, where he had the privilege of learning from several pioneers and founding leaders of modern vascular surgery.

After spending five years in Pittsfield during residency, Dr. Foster and his family are excited to return to the Berkshires and become part of a community that became an important part of their lives. Returning to the region where his medical career began is particularly meaningful to him, and he is eager to bring his advanced training and experience back to the community.

His clinical practice is focused on the comprehensive management of vascular disease, incorporating contemporary open surgical and endovascular techniques, advanced technologies, and evidence-based treatment strategies. He is committed to expanding access to sophisticated vascular care throughout the Berkshires, with the goal of enabling patients to receive complex, high-quality, patient centered care closer to home.

Outside of the hospital, you will find him skiing at Bousquet Mountain in the winter, hiking at Kennedy Park in the warmer months, and enjoying the Berkshires’ vibrant restaurant scene and local events throughout the year.
