About Liana Fraenkel, MD

I am an adult rheumatologist. I spent the first half of my career taking care of patients and doing clinical research at Yale University. My research focus was on understanding how people make difficult decision and learning how to improve risk communication between patients and physicians. My most memorable moments are related to mentoring students, residents and fellows. My husband and I moved to the Berkshires to focus on community health. I am very interested in learning how best to improve access to highly effective treatment programs in rural regions. In my spare time I love hiking and biking. In the summer you can find my husband and I on the lawn an Tanglewood!
