Berkshire Health Systems is pleased to welcome Dr. Marguerite Ballou (she/her) to Berkshire Surgical Services. Dr. Ballou received her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond, VA. She completed her residency training in General Surgery at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV, and completed a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO.
Procedures and services Dr. Ballou will be performing at BHS include but are not limited to: open and endovascular treatment of abdominal aortic and iliac aneurysms, open and endovascular treatment of peripheral arterial disease, thoracic endovascular aortic repair, vein ablation and stripping, and treatment of carotid disease including trans-carotid artery revascularization. She is particularly interested in peripheral arterial disease, limb salvage, dialysis access, and addressing healthcare disparities.
Dr. Ballou grew up in an area similar to the Berkshires, and she is excited to call the Berkshires home. In her spare time, she loves paddleboarding, hiking, chasing waterfalls, painting, traveling, and exploring with her two dogs. She loves Pontoosuc Lake, and Thistle and Mirth.
