“The BHS Fourth of July 5K is where my running journey truly began…What makes this race so special to me is the energy. The course is lined with spectators for most of the way, and the support is unlike anything else in the Berkshires. It feels like the whole community shows up—not just to watch, but to be part of something. It’s more than just a race—it’s a tradition, a community, and a celebration all in one.”
“The 4th of July race is my favorite! There are so many people who love to run, just like me. It’s so cool to hear and see people cheering everyone on during the entire race.”
“I started as a competitive runner trying to win [the 5k]. Now, I’m happy to do the course pushing my grandkids in a stroller and wave to people. This family tradition is the best start to the holiday!”
