I chose this position and this hospital because its mission and values align closely with the way I practice medicine and the kind of community impact I want to have. I was drawn to an organization that prioritizes compassionate, patient-centered care while also investing in the long-term strength of its healthcare workforce.

This role allows me to care for patients in a meaningful, relationship-based way while also contributing to something larger. The opportunity to develop and lead a new Advanced Practice Provider residency program here was especially compelling. Supporting nurse practitioners and physician assistants as they transition into practice is something I care deeply about, and I’ve seen firsthand how structured mentorship improves confidence, retention, and patient care.

I also chose this hospital because of its commitment to the local community. As someone who recently relocated from Central Maine to the Berkshires, I was looking for a place where I could truly put down roots, build lasting professional relationships, and grow alongside the community I serve. This felt like the right place to do that work: with intention, collaboration, and shared values.
