Two Hospitalists Join BHS Program |
December 6, 2007 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE TWO NEW PHYSICIANS JOIN HOSPITALIST TEAM AT BHS PITTSFIELD, MA – Berkshire Health Systems announces the appointments of two new physicians to the Hospitalist team that provides inpatient care at Berkshire Medical Center and Fairview Hospital. Ning Fu, MD and Imran Sethi, MD join Tony Almakdisi, MD, William DeMarco, DO, Julie Floyd, MD, Marian Madden, MD, Nana Makalatia, MD, Sukhpal Mann MD, and Physician Assistant Jeffrey Terwilliger in the BHS Hospitalist group. Both Dr. Fu and Dr. Sethi are board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Fu received his medical degree from Beijing Medical University in China. He completed his internal medicine residency training at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, New Jersey. He previously served with Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, a Temple University-affiliated hospital in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Stony Brook University Hospital and Huntington Hospital in New York and China-Japan Friendship Hospital in Beijing. Dr. Sethi received his medical degree from Dow Medical College, University of Karachi in Pakistan, graduating first in his class of over 500 students. He completed his internal medicine residency training at Crozer Chester Medical Center in Upland, Pennsylvania. Hospitalists are specially-trained physicians based full-time in the hospital. Because of their focus on in-patient medicine, Hospitalists develop expertise in treating hospitalized patients, and are readily available to coordinate care with nurses, medical specialists and other professionals within the institution.
