Education Programs for Cancer Patients in January at BMC |
January 7, 2010 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE BMC WOMEN’S IMAGING CENTER PRESENTS TWO PROGRAMS FOR CANCER PATIENTS: STRESS REDUCTION AND NUTRITION ARE TOPICS PITTSFIELD, MA – The Women’s Imaging Center at Berkshire Medical Center presents two programs in January for cancer patients, focusing on reducing stress and good nutrition. Both programs are free. A stress reduction class will be held on Tuesday, January 19th from 4:00 to 5:00 pm in the Health Information Resource Room at Berkshire Medical Center, located just off the main lobby. The program will be presented by Diane Panetti, RN. A nutrition workshop, entitled, “Learn Ways to Eat Nutritiously Before, During and After Cancer Treatment,” will be held on Tuesday, January 26th from 5:30 to 8:30 pm in the BMC Medical Arts Complex, 777 North Street, 5th floor classroom space. The presenter for the program is Marsha Schulte, Registered Dietitian at BMC, and the event will also feature a cooking demonstration with Linda Ruberto. While both programs are free, pre-registration is required for each.
