The American Heart Association’s (AHA) Heartsaver First Aid course is designed to prepare students to provide First Aid in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Heartsaver Instructor-led training is conducted in a classroom setting and features group interaction and hands-on coaching and feedback from an AHA Instructor. The course offers: a cohesive, consistent experience for the learner, best practices to give students the best possible learning experience and help them better retain information, enhanced and realistic scenarios while providing course and content flexibility. The skills learned in this course help learners recognize and treat bleeding emergencies, neck and spine injuries, sprains, broken bones, tourniquet use, treatment of severe allergic reactions, get emergency care on the way quickly, and help the person until more advanced care arrives to take over.
