What We Do
Partnership for Health in the Berkshires is a Berkshire County, non-profit, Physician Hospital Organization or PHO. Founded in 2016, our stated mission is to enhance collaboration between and among Berkshire County physicians, other health care providers and Berkshire Health Systems in order to provide the best possible care for members of our community while at the same time, working to improve efficiency and lower costs. The organization is also seen as critical to improve the long term viability and sustainability of health care deliver in our county.
Who We Are
Partnership for Health in the Berkshires membership is comprised of more than 250 private practice and hospital employed, primary care and specialist physicians in alliance with Berkshire Health Systems. Physician led with an 21 member Governing Board comprised of physician leaders in the community and senior administrators from Berkshire Health Systems, Partnership for Health in the Berkshires is well positioned to manage the rapidly changing healthcare delivery system while at the same time working to integrate care across the healthcare continuum.
Who Can Join?
All physicians who hold staff privileges in good standing at Berkshire Medical Center or Fairview Hospital are eligible for membership. For physicians in group practice, regardless of size, the entire group must join for individuals within the group to be able to join. Opportunity for membership opens on an annual basis with membership term between October 1 through September 30.
