A new Wellness program for the Berkshire Community, with a goal of exercising 150 minutes a week.
Please note that the reporting form will open on Friday, April 23.
The Berkshire 150 Program runs April 18 to May 29, 2021, but you can start at any point within that timeframe!
The CDC recommends a minimum of 150 minutes each week of moderate intensity aerobic activity. This includes anything that gets your heart pumping. For ideas, check out https://www.cdc.gov/physicalactivity/basics/adults/index.htm
Tracking minutes: Keep track of your exercise minutes daily - on your phone, on a calendar or an app such as myfitnesspal.com. Submit total # of minutes weekly using the online report form at the link above. Each week when you submit your exercise log, you will earn 1 ticket that is automatically entered toward the drawing for prizes at the end of the program. You can earn up to 6 tickets (1 per week).
Weekly email: Participants will receive a weekly email, which will include healthy tips, recipes, and events details.
Prize drawing: Held at the end of the program, 10 prizes will be awarded to random Berkshire 150 participants. To be entered in the drawing, track & submit your 150 minutes of exercise weekly. You can earn up to 6 tickets (1 per week), plus 3 bonus tickets (see below), for a total of 9 chances.
Bonus tickets: Participants will have the opportunity to engage in 3 photo submissions for bonus tickets. Specific photo engagements will come out in the weekly email and will be featured on BMC social media properties (Find us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
Note: All photos submitted to Berkshire 150 give permission to use on all BHS and social media platforms.
