Seasonal Flu Clinics Scheduled in the Southern Berkshires
New registration process put in place to protect community
Fairview Hospital has announced no-cost flu vaccination clinics will take place for the southern Berkshire community in the coming weeks. Due to COVID-19, pre-registration is required at all clinics and time slots will be assigned to assure social distancing restrictions are observed. The clinics will be drive-through as well as in-person. Masks are required to prevent the spread of infection.
Those seeking a flu vaccine are asked to print and complete a Consent and Screening form prior to arrival. Be sure to fill out both sides and bring the form to the clinic. There will be a section available to request forwarding proof of vaccination to your provider, employer, or school. Please bring contact information for this purpose.
There is no charge for the vaccination, but if you have insurance, please bring your card. Billing insurance companies for the administration of the vaccine will allow this project to be financially self-sustaining and allow us to continue to offer this service to the community.
Nasal mist will be available at the clinics for people ages 2 – 49 who meet the health requirements. All vaccine administered is preservative free. The high dose formulation vaccine will not be available.
These clinics are offered in collaboration with our community partners from the Berkshire Public Health Alliance, the Berkshire County Medical Reserve Corps, and the Vaccine for Children unit of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
