Top-of-the-Line Technology for Fast and Convenient Care
A dedicated 16-slide CT scanner provides rapid imaging services for patients with life-threatening conditions. Individual treatment rooms are all equipped with heart monitors, and our physicians have access to BMC's Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) for real-time reading of diagnostic studies. In addition, BMC's electronic health record is integrated with the hospital's acute care settings, so that all important medical information is available to caregivers. Berkshire Medical Center is verified as a Level III Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons, which recognizes our ability to provide immediate, specialized care to critically ill or injured patients. Emergency Department staff are members of the trauma team, providing early care and resuscitation, if needed. Also, our nurses are all certified in trauma care and advanced cardiac life support.
