DR. ANDREW PLAGER OPENS PRIMARY CARE PRACTICE
STOCKBRIDGE, MA – Andrew J. Plager, MD, a board certified Internal Medicine physician, has opened a new primary care practice in Stockbridge and is accepting new patients. Dr. Plager, who formerly served for many years as an Emergency Medicine and Hospitalist physician at Berkshire Medical Center, provides the full spectrum of acute and longitudinal care services in a patient-centered, unhurried setting, combining evidence-based traditional care with alternative, cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. Dr. Plager’s practice welcomes adolescents and adults in need of primary care services and accepts nearly all health insurance plans.
Dr. Plager previously served as an Emergency Medicine physician at BMC from 1990 to 2003 and again from 2008 to 2009. He worked as a Hospitalist at the Medical Center from 2003-2004 and as a staff physician at Canyon Ranch in Lenox from 2003 to 2008, where he was Clinical Liaison to the Cleveland Clinic from 2006 to 2008.
Dr. Plager is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He received his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo and completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. He received a Master of Science degree in Nutrition from Columbia University.
