Dreaming Hope: Inspirational Program for Women Affected by Cancer
PITTSFIELD, MA – The BMC Women’s Imaging Center, Breast Health Team of the Berkshires and Think Pink have joined forces to present a unique workshop for women affected by cancer, focusing on dreams. Dreaming Hope: Honoring Women Affected by Cancer, is a four-hour workshop being held on Saturday, October 1st from 1 to 5:30 pm at the Private Dream Art Studio in Pittsfield.
The program will feature Kellie Meisl, teacher, artists and author of Dream Stories: Recovering the Inner Mystic. Participants will use dreams as a springboard for self exploration and creativity. They will create simple art to have tangible items based on their dreams. Each participant will have an opportunity to share dreams, re-enter the dreamscape, create a dream map, write a dream poem, answer dream reflections, scribble their dreams and sculpt their dreams. No art experience is necessary. The session will culminate with a group healing mandala.
The program is free, but pre-registration is required. To register, contact Kathy Hart, RN, 413-395-7965 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. The program is funded by Think Pink.
