Sleep is our business. If you are not getting your fair share of quality sleep, we can help.
It has been said we can survive three times longer without food as we can without sleep. A good night’s sleep does much more than allow you to wake up refreshed and ready to take on the world. Sound sleep plays a critical role in immune function, metabolism, memory, learning and much more. Chronic disruption in sleep can impact health and the quality of life in subtle, significant and potentially devastating ways.
Over 40 million American have some form of sleep disorder including:
• Sleep Apnea Syndrome & Heavy Snoring
• Periodic Limb Movement Disorder
• Restless Leg Syndrome
• Jet Lag, Shift Work, and other Circadian Rhythm Disorders
• Terrors, Nightmares, Sleepwalking, and other Parasomnias
For over 13 years the Berkshire Medical Center Sleep Disorders Center has worked in tandem with patients’ healthcare providers to evaluate, consult and treat each patient with individualized treatment plans.
The Center is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), Out of Center Sleep Testing (OCST) and is an active member of the National Sleep Foundation. Our Board Certified Sleep Disorders Medicine physicians, and team of specially trained sleep technicians, maintain current knowledge of all regulations and technology to assure our patients benefit from the most recent advances in the field.
