RN Anesthetist Student Rotation
In 2008 Berkshire Medical Center became an American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA)-approved clinical site for graduate students enrolled in the Nurse Anesthesiology Program at Albany Medical College. Under the direct supervision of the attending anesthesiologist and certified registered nurse anesthetist staff, junior and senior students develop the clinical skills necessary to provide safe, effective, and evidence-based anesthesia care. Students gain proficiency in administering all types of anesthesia in a variety of surgical and obstetric settings in effort to fulfill the requirements set forth by the AANA Council of Accreditation.
