Profile - Dr. Timothy Mahoney

Born and raised in Ledyard, Connecticut, Dr. Mahoney was drawn to Medicine because he always enjoyed the Sciences. He chose Radiology in order to meet his desire to treat a wide range of patients, young and old, with a variety of conditions.
Dr. Mahoney graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester with a B.A. in Chemistry, and received his Doctor of Medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. He completed his Internship at the Hospital of Saint Raphael in New Haven, Connecticut, and his Residency Program and two Fellowships-Vascular and Interventional Radiology and Magnetic Resonance Imaging-at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, New Hampshire.
Currently, Dr. Mahoney runs Special Procedures in Radiology, which include such specialized duties as Kyphoplasty, Angiograms with balloon angioplasty, cerebral angiograms and a full line of biopsies, not to mention CT Scans and MRI's.
Dr. Mahoney shares, "I enjoy providing a high level of technical services in an effective, noninvasive and compassionate way."
He was attracted to the Berkshires as he has many relations scattered throughout New England. "I really enjoy the rural feel of the Berkshires," he adds.
Dr. Mahoney's hobbies include sports and playing with his children. He lives in Pittsfield with his wife, Patty, a registered nurse, and their three children: Patrick, Rosemary and Harold.
