Fairview Hospital's new Asthma Relief Program has changed the lives of many asthma sufferers, giving them back control of their lives through better understanding of their conditions and techniques to help them live better.

The three-session program encompasses breathing exercises, education and relaxation training. Each patient has an individualized program based on physician recommendation. The program is designed for people 12 and above who suffer from asthma.
"Our patients are seeing real results yet the benefits of this program are more than physical," says Tom Fleming, RRT, of Fairview's Cardiopulmonary Department. "Our patients benefit in self-esteem, independence and just feeling like a productive person again as they learn to manage their asthma."
